MTN: Minnesota Wraps Up Play at Wisconsin Fall Invitational

In singles action, the Golden Gophers went 4-2 in the dual against Northern Illinois. Nic Edlefsen made quick work of Mark Tate with a 6-1, 6-3 victory to improve to 2-2 on the weekend. Sion Wilkins survived a marathon match in a 7-5, 6-7 (6), (10-6) win over NIU's Brian Livingston. Taking straight-set victories were Pete Torgrimson and Pierre Dumas.
The Maroon and Gold went 1-2 in doubles matches against Border Battle rival Wisconsin with Dumas and Adam Altepeter upending Brennen Phippen and Gian Hodgson, 8-6.
Minnesota takes next weekend off in preparation for the Oct. 20-25 ITA Midwest Regional Championships in Ann Arbor, Mich.
