Schwark Falls at All-American Tennis Championships

Minnesota senior Raoul Schwark dropped his first match of the season Thursday, falling in the opening round of main draw play at the All-American Tennis Championships in Tulsa, Okla.

Schwark, who captured the Princeton Invitational singles title in his last tournament, was knocked off in straight by No. 8-seeded Andre Begemann of Pepperdine.

Begemann opened the match with a hot hand and never let up, handing Schwark a 6-2, 6-3 setback.

Schwark returns to action on Friday in the consolation bracket of the All-American Tennis Championships.
