It is with great pride that we enter our eighth season at the Baseline Tennis Center on the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities campus. Named for the booster club that supports Gopher tennis, Baseline Club members have generated tremendous support for tennis for over 20 years and were a driving force behind the construction of this facility. Chair back spectator seating, an electronic scoreboard and signature maroon and gold courts are just a few of the things that make the Baseline Tennis Center one of the premier collegiate facilities in the country. Please feel free to drop by anytime to see what we have to offer.
Facility Information
Courts: There are 22 courts at the Baseline Tennis Center, 10 indoor and 12 outdoor. The indoor courts are housed in an air conditioned, permanent structure with a 33 foot ceiling.
Hours of Operation:
Open daily from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.
The facility will be closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. Please call for availability on other select holidays. Club Room:
There is a club room overlooking the courts with an attached catering kitchen available for private functions. Please call for details. Locker Rooms:
Public locker rooms are available and equipped with showers and personal lockers. Locks for the lockers are not provided. Shoes:
Tennis specific shoes are only allowed on the tennis courts. Absolutely no running, cross trainer or trail shoes allowed on the tennis courts. Lessons/Drills: Lessons and drills are available to all ages and all abilities from a highly qualified teaching staff. Please contact Dana Young at danayoung7@yahoo.com for more information. Summer Camps: We offer 4 weeks of 5-day camps for juniors ages 10-18. Taught by a great staff of collegiate coaches, local pros, and current Gopher players, these camps meet the needs of beginners to advanced players of all ages.
