Gophers at Big Ten Indoor Championships

The Minnesota men's tennis team is competing in Big Ten Indoor Championships this weekend in East Lansing, Mich. The event begins today and concludes on Monday, Nov. 1. The majority of matches will be held at host Michigan State's indoor tennis facility, while some select matches will be played at the Michigan Athletic Club. Doubles action will be contested today and singles play will run Saturday through Monday.

Representing Minnesota in singles play is senior Derek Peterson, juniors Phillip Arndt, Michael Sicora, Julian Dehn, Eddie Svenda and sophomore Brendan Ruddock. Arndt and Peterson will team up for doubles, as will Svenda and Sicora. The final Gopher doubles team is Dehn and Ruddock.  

Last week the Gophers competed in the ITA Central Regional Championships in Norman, Okla. The team completes fall play at the Nov. 12-14 Lakewood Ranch Intercollegiate Clay Court Classic in Miami, Fla.
