2011-12 ? JUNIOR SEASON: Did not compete in the spring season because of an injury ? Finished the fall with a 3-6 record in singles and a 4-3 doubles record ? Three singles wins came in three different tournaments ? Went 2-1 in three-set/match tiebreaker matches ? Played doubles with Juan Pablo Ramirez, Eric Frueh, and Phillip Arndt ? Went 3-0 with Frueh at the Gopher Invitational (11/3-6), taking down Michael Moore and Ryan Bandy of Notre Dame twice in the process and beating Luke Manley and Alex Clinkenbeard of Denver.

2010-11 ? SOPHOMORE SEASON: Went 6-4 in singles and 4-5 in doubles during the fall ? Started fall with three straight losses at the Denver Pioneer Invitational, but reeled off six consecutive wins from 9/26 to 10/30 ? Reached Round of 16 in singles at the Big Ten Indoor Tournament in East Lansing, Mich. (10/29-11/1) ? Reached Flight A semifinals in doubles with Julian Dehn at the Big Ten Indoors ? Had a ledger of 12-7 in singles and 10-9 in doubles ? Was last undefeated Minnesota player to compete in more than four singles matches after beginning the season with six wins in a row ? Played at No. 3, 4, and 5 positions, going 9-3 at the fifth flight ? Was 4-2 in three-set decisions ? Played with four different doubles partners and at all three doubles positions ? Clinched doubles point with Arndt with a doubles win over Penn State on 4/15, beating No. 67 Russell Bader and Eddie Bourchier ? Played No. 5 singles in all three of Minnesota's Big Ten tournament matches ? Posted victories over Rodney Carey of Wisconsin in the quarterfinals and Stephen Vogl of Indiana in semifinals to help team advance to championship ? Had championship match against No. 98 Balazs Novak of Ohio State abandoned after winning first set 6-2 ? Defeated at fifth singles by Fresno State's Nick Papac in the first round of the NCAA tournament.

2009-10 ? FRESHMAN SEASON: Earned Minnesota's Jerry Noyce Most Improved Player Award, Team Spirit Award, and Bob McNamara Unsung Hero Award ? Compiled a 15-13 singles record and 6-10 doubles ledger ? Opened his career with three straight victories before finishing runner-up in the B Flight at the Drake Invitational (9/18-20) ? Won both singles matches at the Pepperdine Invitational (9/24-27), including a thrilling three-set match over Sebastian Hafner of Fresno State 7-5, 5-7, 7-6 (0) ? Beat Northwestern's Spencer Wolf 6-3, 6-4 in the first round of the Big Ten Indoor Championships (10/30-11/2) ? Played with four different doubles partners and won two matches at the Big Ten Indoor Championships with Eddie Svenda ? 6-3 in three-set matches in the spring ? Won tiebreaker against Indiana's Will Kendall 5-7, 7-6 (7-3), 7-6 (7-5) on 4/11 ? Gophers went 8-0 in duals when Ruddock won his match and 0-6 when he lost.

PRIOR TO MINNESOTA: Attended Connetquot High School ? Head coach was Justin Hertz ? Became the first player from his high school to win the Suffolk County singles championship, finishing the season 20-1 overall and winning the consolation championship to place fifth at the state tournament as a junior ? Also placed fifth at state as a senior after finishing as Suffolk County runner-up ? Named to the Newsday All-Long Island boys' tennis team the past two years ? Six-time all-conference selection and four-time all-county performer ? Collected six varsity letters ? Won three Consecutive U.S. Tennis Association Eastern Section titles and was ranked No. 1 in the section in the under-16 age group ? Captured a gold medal in doubles in the Empire State Games.
