Seven Gophers Still Alive at Southern Scuffle

The No. 3 Minnesota wrestling program currently sits in a tie for fifth place heading into the second day of action at the Southern Scuffle in Greensboro, N.C. Seven members of the Gophers squad are still alive in the tournament, which features nearly three dozen Division I programs including top-ranked Cornell.

Still alive for the Gophers are Zach Sanders (125 lbs; 2 wins), Mike Thorn (141 lbs.; 3 wins), Danny Zilverberg (149 lbs.; 3 wins), Cody Yohn (164 lbs.; 3 wins), Kevin Steinhaus (184 lbs.; 3 wins), Ben Berhow (285 lbs.; 3 wins) and Tony Nelson (285 lbs.; 2 wins).

All-American Sonny Yohn forfeited his opening match against Travis Porter of Gardner-Webb at the 4:12 mark due to an injury.
