Gophers Drop Decision to No. 6 UCLA

The No. 33 Minnesota men's tennis team dropped a 4-0 decision to No. 6 UCLA at the Los Angeles Tennis Center today in the ITA Kick-Off Weekend. The Gophers fell to 1-1 on the year and play No. 28 Fresno State on Saturday, who lost 4-1 to No. 27 Florida State earlier in the day.
Phillip Arndt and Sebastian Gallego were beaten 8-2 by Amit Inbar and Adrien Puget at No. 1 doubles. UCLA then clinched the doubles point when Daniel Kosakowski and Clay Thompson defeated Julian Dehn and Brendan Ruddock 8-3 at No. 3 doubles. The No. 2 doubles match between UCLA's Alex Brigham and Holden Seguso and the Gophers' Rok Bonin and Tobias Wernet went unfinished.
UCLA earned three points in singles competition with victories at No. 1, No. 2 and No. 6 singles. The other three matches went unfinished. Bonin fell 6-1, 7-5 to Kosakowski at No. 1, while Gallego lost 7-6 (3), 6-3 at No. 2 to No. 86 Inbar. Seguso topped Dehn 6-4, 6-3 at No. 6 singles.
