Gophers Add Match to Spring Slate

2014-15 Minnesota Men's Tennis Schedule
MINNEAPOLIS - The Minnesota men's tennis team added a match to its 2015 spring schedule Friday. The Gophers will now play The Citadel at 2 p.m. CT Feb. 28 in Chapel Hill, N.C. The match will be played after the Maroon and Gold takes on 2014 NCAA Tournament quarterfinalist North Carolina at 9 a.m. CT at the same location.
With the addition to the schedule, Minnesota is now slated to play 26 matches, 14 of which are on the road.
The Citadel of the Southern Conference posted a 2-29 record last season. The Gophers are coming off an 11-13 campaign that included a 1-2 mark in neutral site matches. The two schools have never met in men's tennis.
Minnesota's spring season opens Jan. 17 with matches against Marquette and South Dakota State and the Baseline Tennis Center.
