MINNEAPOLIS -- Gopher Rowing will open its season with one of two home meets on the schedule as the University of Minnesota competes at the Head of the Mississippi Regatta hosted by the Minneapolis Rowing Club.

The Maroon & Gold are led by senior captains Lauren Miller and Kortney Luedloff. The duo will compete in the women's open pair race and be a part of the top varsity eight boat. The Gophers also boast a trio of international recruits who have made an immediate impact in England natives Darcy Jennings and Rosie Gladding as well as Sarah Reimann of Bregenz, Austria.

Minnesota will post line-ups in four races, including three on the varsity level, at the Head of Mississippi on Saturday. As the only NCAA Division I team competing, the Gophers will use the meet as a tune-up for later this month when the team competes at the Head of the Charles in Boston, Mass.

Race Course
The race begins at the Minneapolis Rowing Club near the Lake Street/Marshall Bridge and travels north past the University of Minnesota boathouse before ending just past the Washington Ave bridge. A detailed map is available via the link above.
