No. 25 Ranked Gophers Fall to No. 8 Oklahoma State

Minneapolis, Minn. - The No. 25 University of Minnesota men's tennis team lost their second match of the season Friday night by a score of 5-2 to No. 8 Oklahoma State.
Doubles
The Cowboys took the first point of the night, winning two of three doubles sets. The No. 31 ranked pair of Jurence Mendoza and Lucas Gerch took down Justyn Levin and Marino Alpeza 6-3 in the No. 2 doubles slot to start the night.
In the No. 3 slot, Eli Ogilvy and Stefan Milicevic evened it out with a 6-3 win over Tristan Meraut and Artur Dubinski. Moments later, the No. 32 ranked pair of Matic Spec and Felix Corwin lost their first set of the season to No. 4 ranked Julian Cash and Arjun Kadhe by a score of 6-3 in the No. 1 doubles slot.
Singles
Corwin got the Gophers on the board as he defeated No. 69 ranked Kadhe 6-4, 6-2 in the No. 2 singles spot. The Cowboys got back on top quickly with a win in the No. 3 singles, as No. 117 Milicevic lost to Gerch 6-1, 6-4.
Oklahoma State extended their lead as Dubinski took down Ogilvy 6-3, 6-4 in the No. 4 singles slot. Minnesota kept fighting, and grabbed a win in the No. 5 slot, as Josip Krstanovic took down Mendoza 6-1, 5-7, 6-2.
The Cowboys would finish the night with two more wins to secure a 5-2 victory. In the No. 6 singles, Alpeza lost to Meraut 4-6, 7-6, 7-5, which was the clincher for the No. 8 ranked team. Spec would then see his battle fall short as he lost to No. 18 ranked Cash 7-6, 6-7, 7-5 in the No. 1 singles slot.
