Gophers Receive CSCAA Scholar All-America Recognition

The University of Minnesota's men's and women's swimming and diving teams both earned Scholar All-America Team recognition from the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA). To earn this distinction, teams must achieve a combined semester grade point average of 3.0 or better.
The Gopher women turned in a 3.41 GPA this spring, and the men had a 3.14. Both earned CSCAA Scholar All-America Team status during the fall of 2016 as well.
Eight individuals received CSCAA Scholar All-America accolades for the 2016-17 season, and 14 received Scholar All-America Honorable Mention. For first-team honors, a student-athlete most have a 3.50 GPA or better and compete at the NCAA Championships. Honorable mention requires the same GPA mark and an NCAA "B" standard time or competition in NCAA Zone Diving.
