Gophers Set for ACC/Big Ten Swimming and Diving Challenge

The Inaugural ACC/Big Ten Challenge is set to begin this Saturday in West Lafayette, Ind. The Gophers are well represented at the meet, sending 13 members of the men's and women's swimming and diving programs to represent Minnesota while competing for the Big Ten.
Where to watch
The Big Ten Network will provide coverage for the event. Saturday's coverage will begin at 4 p.m. CT on BTN2Go and Sunday's events will begin at 9 a.m. CT live on BTN and streamed on BTN2Go. Fans of Gopher swimming and Diving will also be able to follow along through the programs twitter page. A link to the Big Ten streaming coverage can be found at the top of this article.
Lucky 13
The Gophers are sending 13 members to the meet including both swimmers and divers. For the men, Bowe Becker, Max McHugh, Nick Saulnier and Matthew Thomas will represent the Maroon & Gold off of the blocks while Nick Yang and Alan LeBlang will compete in the diving well for the Gophers.
Minnesota will send seven members of their women's swim and dive team to West Lafayette for the meet. Lindsey Kozelsky, Rachel Munson, Chantal Nack, Mackenzie Padington and Tevyn Waddell compose the group of Gopher swimmers, while Kristen Hayden and Xiao Fu will dive for the Big Ten in Indiana.
Additionally, Coach Kremer was selected to be the Women's Big Ten Assistant Coach for the meet. Kremer will join Michigan's Mike Bottom, who was selected as the Women's Big Ten Head Coach, to lead the Big Ten against the ACC.
Weekly Honors
The Gophers have been recognized by the Big Ten frequently during their first month of competition. Minnesota have earned eight Big Ten weekly awards to this point in the early season. Five individuals that have garnered Big Ten weekly honors will be present at the ACC/Big Ten Challenge. They include Mariam Khamis (Oct. 24), Lindsey Kozelsky (Oct. 31), Nick Yang (Oct. 17), Max McHugh (Oct. 17) and Bowe Becker (Oct. 31).
