STARTING FIVE
• The Minnesota men's basketball team plays its final game before breaking for semester exams on Tuesday against North Florida.  After just two home games in the month of November, the Gophers are in the midst of a five-game homestand that will last throughout December.
• The Gophers will be without senior guard Dupree McBrayer, who traveled home to New York earlier in the week for the funeral of his mother, Tayra McFarlane, who passed away from cancer last week.
• Junior guard Amir Coffey poured in 32 points to help lead the Gophers past 24th-ranked Nebraska last Wednesday. It was a career-high for the Hopkins, Minn., native, and the most by any Big Ten player this season. Coffey has scored in double figures in every game and ranks 13th in the conference in scoring (16.2), as of December 7.
• Last week, senior forward Jordan Murphy became the 11th player in Big Ten history with 1,400+ points and 1,000+ career rebounds. Additionally, Murphy broke Jim Brewer's 45-year old school record when he scored 18 points and 13 rebounds on Wednesday for his 52nd career double-double.  Murphy ranks second in the nation in rebounding (12.1)  and double-doubles (seven) this season.
• Freshman Daniel Oturu recorded the first double-double of his career against Arkansas State on Saturday, as he finished with a team-high 19 points and 12 rebounds in 27 minutes. Oturu was 5-of-9 from the field and 9-of-12 at the free throw line, with six rebounds coming on the offensive boards, and he added three blocked shots. Oturu has six games this season with eight or more rebounds, and this was his fourth game in double-figures for points. Oturu ranks second in the Big Ten pulling down 2.1 blocks per game.

SCOUTING THE OSPREYS
• UNF comes to Minneapolis for the second time ever, sporting a 4-5 record including two straight victories. The Ospreys knocked off Florida A&M, 81-62, at home on November 29 before winning 76-70 at Charleston Southern on Dec. 1.
• It will be ten days between games for the Ospreys when they take the raised court at Williams Arena Tuesday.
• Junior forward Noah Horchler leads the UNF offense and defense in three different categories, as he averages a double-double (16.0 points, 10.4 rebounds) while blocking two shots per game.

GOPHERS VS. THE ASUN
• Minnesota is 6-0 against the current members of the Atlantic Sun Conference.
• Those six  wins came against Jacksonville (twice); Kennesaw State, Lipscomb and North Florida.
• The Gophers last played a current ASUN foe in 2016 defeating NJIT 74-68 on December 6 at Williams Arena.
• Last season, the Gophers defeated USC Upstate, 92-77 in the season opener – the Spartans were A-Sun members at the time but left for the Big South Conference beginning this year.
• Head coach Richard Pitino is 1-1 against current ASUN members, defeating Stetson and falling to Florida Gulf Coast during his one season as head coach at FIU.
