Gophers Sweep Bulldogs, Face Penn on Sunday

MINNEAPOLIS -- The Gopher Men's Tennis program swept Drake 7-0 in their first match of the weekend. Eli Ogilvy clinched the match for Minnesota in his 6-2, 6-2 win in the No. 4 singles spot.
"We know Drake is a really good team so we knew we were going to have a tough match," Ogilvy said. "To clinch the match is always nice because it relieves the pressure for the other guys in the rest of their games."
With the score locked up at 1-1 in doubles, Josip Krstanovic and Justyn Levin grinded out a 7-5 win in the No. 2 doubles spot to give Minnesota a 1-0 lead heading into singles after Matic Spec and Felix Corwin won their No. 1 doubles match 6-2..
Krstanovic then made quick work of his opponent in the No. 6 singles spot, winning 6-0, 6-1. Krstanovic was followed by a 6-1, 6-1 win from Corwin in the No. 1 spot, and the clinching win from Ogilvy. Jackson Allen, Spec, and Stefan Milicevic rounded out the match with wins in their respective singles spots.
Minnesota will face Penn on Sunday at 12 p.m. in their second match of the weekend.
