No. 37 Gophers Stay Put in First ITA Postseason Rankings

Oracle/ITA Division I Rankings: Men's Team | Men's Singles (May 3, 2018)
MINNEAPOLIS – Heading into next week’s NCAA Tournament action, the Gopher Men’s Tennis team remains No. 37 in the latest Oracle/ITA Division I rankings. Minnesota’s three ranked individuals each moved up in the ITA’s Singles rankings released Thursday night.
No. 37 Minnesota (15-8) takes on No. 19 Georgia (13-10) in the opening round at the Norman Regional hosted by No. 14 Oklahoma who meets No. 43 Utah on the other side of the bracket.
Felix Corwin, who earlier this week received a selection to the NCAA Singles Tournament later this month in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, jumped 26 spots from no. 79 to no. 53 after his upset victory over No. 6 Mikael Torpegaard of Ohio State at the Big Ten Tournament. No. 79 Stefan Milicevic also moved up two spots, while No. 85 Matic Spec jumped five positions from the final regular season rankings.
First serve between the Gophers and Bulldogs is set for 10 a.m. CT this Friday in Norman, Oklahoma.
