Maroon & Gold Set to Travel to Norman for ITA Central Region Championships

The University of Minnesota men's tennis team is set to begin play this week in Norman, Okla. in the 2019 ITA Central Region Championships. Competition opens up Thursday, Oct. 24 and runs until Monday, Oct. 28.
In last year's regionals, Gophers junior Jackson Allen made a deep run in the tournament's singles bracket by reaching the semifinal stage. Senior Stefan Milicevic also played his way into the tournament's quarterfinals before his eventual elimination.
"Really looking forward to watching us play," said head coach Geoff Young. "It's been many weeks of preparing and working with one another. Now it's time to go see what we can do."
PARTICIPANTS
This year's tournament will see the first action from freshmen Dylan Heap, Daniel Martin, Siim Troost, and Bodin Zarkovic sporting Maroon & Gold. Dylan Heap will be the only Gopher in attendance not participating in doubles play.
Doubles pairings for the Gophers going into this weekend will be as follows: Stefan Milicevic/Bodin Zarkovic, Sebastian Vile/Daniel Martin, Siim Troost/Vlad Lobak, Eli Ogilvy/Jackson Allen.
