After a 7-over 295 in round one and an 11-over 299 in round two, the Golden Gophers posted a 4-over 292 in their final day of competition at the Forest Heights Country Club. The ninth-place finish marks the fifth time the Gophers have finished in the top 10 in seven tournaments this year.

Beginning on Hole 10, Flanagan bogeyed No. 10, but had his first eagle of the round just two holes later with a 3 on the par-5 12th. Two bogeys and a double bogey left him 3-over for the first nine holes, while a bogey on No. 1 left him 4-over. He finished strong though with another eagle on No. 7, again carding a 3 on a par-5. After a bogey at No. 8, he birdied No. 9 to come in 1-under for the front nine.

He then ended the back nine by alternating pars and birdies to come in 4-under with a 32. He gave two strokes back after consecutive bogeys on holes 4 and 5, but still managed his fourth round of 70 or better this season.

A double bogey on No. 10 started his day, but he gained a stroke back with a birdie on No. 14. A bogey on the 17th hole was followed by additional bogeys on No. 1 and No. 5, though he did birdie the eighth hole before closing his round with another bogey on No. 9.
