Women's Gymnastics Alumni Come Back to Campus

Women's Gymnastics Head Coach and Gophers Women's Gymnastics Letterwinner, Jenny Hansen invited her alumni back to campus this past weekend. All alumni and guests toured Athletes Village and had the opportunity to live like current student-athletes when they enjoyed a catered lunch in the Nutrition Center with Coach Hansen and "M" Club Director, Quincy Lewis. After lunch, the alumni attended the Women's Gymnastics meet at the Pavilion where they were honored and had the opportunity to watch the current Gophers compete.
The Maroon and Gold finished their 2019 home schedule on a high note on Saturday as the team posted an overall score of 197.500, the second-highest overall team score in program history. Minnesota led from the first rotation, having posted a season-high team score of 49.300 on vault, followed up with a 49.475 on the uneven bars, a 49.325 on the balance beam and finished the meet with a season-high 49.400 on floor. Six different Gophers posted career-high scores at Saturday's meet, and the uneven bars squad put up the second-highest team bars score in program history.
