4/24/2019 11:44:00 AM | Men's Tennis
MINNEAPOLIS - The University of Minnesota Men's Tennis team will have a rematch against Big Ten rival Wisconsin Thursday at 9 am in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The Gophers got the best of the Badgers in March, winning 4-3 on the road.
ABOUT THE BADGERS
Wisconsin (10-11, 4-7 Big Ten) has had a mostly rocky season, but remains a talented team. Wisconsin is led by Osgar O'Hoison in No. 1 singles, who fell 4-6, 7-6, 6-4 to Josip Krstanovic earlier in the season in the deciding match for the dual. Jesper Freimuth holds down the fort in No. 2 singles, and defeated Stefan Milicevic in striaght sets during their last meeting.
LAST TIME OUT
Minnesota struggled in their last home stand, falling 5-2 to Illinois and losing a 4-3 nail-biter to Northwestern. The Gophers also honored four-year seniors Josip Krstanovic, Justyn Levin, Jesse Sprinkel and Marino Alpeza.
COMING UP
With a win, Minnesota will survive to face No. 1 Ohio Stae at 9 am on Friday. If they lose, they will wait to see their fate in NCAA Tournament seeding, released on Sunday.
