Quotable
"Overall, I think it was really, really solid," Gopher women's head coach Sarah Hopkins said. "We talked before the meet about this being our first midterm, and I would probably give it a 'B.' I think there are areas we can clean up a little bit, and even from a tactical standpoint, but honestly that is a great place to be. We had some people take some good risks, correct risks, that paid a little bit. We had some kids that need to trust themselves a little more, but we are three points out of second and that is without our top two horses. I think it was a solid day. Some people stepped up to roles they haven't been in and it's a great jumping off point for the bigger races of our season."
"We did a good job…we have our overall goal in mind for the season, and I think we took a step along the way today in achieving that," Gopher men's head coach Steve Plasencia said. "Connor Olson did a nice job, Dawson LaRance did a nice job…those guys are going to help the squad as we go forward." Â
