Gophers Fall to Mizzou, Beat Lindenwood, Ohio State

The No. 11 University of Minnesota Women's gymnastics (196.675) fell to Missouri (196.775) Friday night after a close meet in Columbia. The Gophers pulled off the win against Ohio State (194.675) and Lindenwood (194.700). The final standings are as follows:

Notable
Minnesota has three gymnasts record or tie season/career-highs at the meet. Tiarre Sales set a new season-high on vault and tied her career-high in the all-around, Ali Sonier tied her season-high on floor and set a new one on vault, and Lexy Ramler tied her season-high on vault.

"We had another solid meet but weren't quite as sharp as we are capable of," head coach Jenny Hansen said. "I'm really proud of our consistency, and look forward to another opportunity on the road next week at NC State."

Minnesota's momentum started to pick up in the second rotation with a 49.200 on beam, with four Gophers recording a 9.825 or higher. Mary Korlin-Downs and Loper tied for second on beam with a pair of 9.875s. Sales (9.850) earned a fourth place finish and Ramler (9.825) tied for fifth.
Floor
The Maroon and Gold put up a strong performance on floor during the third rotation, posting a 49.275. All six gophers scored a 9.800 or higher. Loper scored her fifth 9.900 of the season to finish second. Halle Remlinger (9.875) tied for third and Ramler tied for sixth (9.850).
Vault
The momentum continued to vault, when Minnesota notched a 49.275 for a season-high. Sonier tied her season-high with a 9.850 in the two spot to start Minnesota off strong. With a 9.900, tying her season-high, Ramler tied for second. Sales set a new season-high on the event with a 9.875 to tie for fourth. Sonier and Loper tied for eighth with a set of 9.850s.
