ROSEMONT, Ill. - Minnesota senior Jackson Allen was named as an All-B1G First Team selection on Monday afternoon as the Big Ten Conference released their annual all-conference awards. Siim Troost was also selected as a Sportsmanship Award Honoree.
The selection will be Allen's first all-conference team honor, as the senior led the Golden Gophers at the top of the lineup with an 8-6 singles dual record in the No. 1 slot, including three wins over fellow All-B1G first team members in Indiana's Bennett Crane, Northwestern's Dominik Stary, and Siphosothando Montsi of Illinois.
Allen also found success in doubles play with an 8-5 doubles dual record alongside fellow teammate Sebastian Vile, including one ranked win against Ohio State on March 19.
Siim Troost earned his second Sportsmanship award honor in as many seasons, as he held dual records of 6-9 in singles play and 9-5 in doubles play.
The Maroon and Gold will see the court next at the Big Ten Conference tournament in Lincoln, Nebraska as they will take on the Michigan Wolverines on Friday, April 30 at 2:00PM.
