The pair will represent Minnesota in Orlando on May 23-28
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - The University of Minnesota men's tennis team will be represented in this year's NCAA tournament, as the Gopher pairing of Vlad Lobak and Siim Troost were selected to participate in the NCAA doubles tournament on Sunday evening.
Troost and Lobak were the Gophers' most successful doubles pairing this season, going 10-2 on the year with three-ranked wins over top-5 caliber opponents. The duo's most notable victory came early in the season, when Lobak and Troost took down then-No. 2 pairing of Andrew Fenty and Mattias Siimar of Michigan, resulting in the highest ranked doubles win in program history (program ranked wins have been recorded since the 2005-2006 season).
Both NCAA singles and doubles competition will take place on May 23-28 at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Florida. Brackets for either style of play have not been announced at this time.
