Gophers Finish 13th at Colleton River Collegiate

The Minnesota men's golf team finished their final round at Colleton River Club shooting a team tournament best 287 (-1) in the third and final round. The Gophers improved in each round of Colleton River Collegiate – shooting 300(+12) in round one, 293 (+5) in round two, and 287 (-1) in round three.Â
Ben Warian (72-73-73) led the way for Minnesota as an individual at (+2) for the tournament, and the Gophers took 13th place overall. Georgia Southern came away with the team victory, and the individual win was split between Adam Wallin of Ohio State and Luke O'Neill of Kansas State.Â
Antoine Sale (81-71-69) posted the best two individual rounds for the Gophers, shooting a 69 (-3) in round three and 71 (-1) in round two. Minnesota finishes with 41 total birdies, 17 of which came in the final-round. Eduardo Galdos (78-75-72) had the only hole-in-one of the tournament, which came on hole four from 109 yards out.Â
Alex Eickhoff (77-74-73) finished third for Gophers, improving in each of his rounds. Connor Glynn (73-79-76) had the most consistent performance for the Maroon and Gold, posting 14 pars in each of the three rounds.Â
Up Next: The Gophers next competition is March 28th and 29th, when they head to Palm City, Florida to play in the Valspar Intercollegiate.
