Minnesota Looks to Repeat Success at Boilermaker Invitational

The Golden Gopher men's golf team is set to compete in the Boilermaker Invitational on April 9th and 10th. The three round event spans two days, and will be played at Ackerman-Allen Golf Course in West Lafayette, Indiana. This is the first year the event will be held at Ackerman-Allen Golf Course, as the normal host site, Kampen Course, is under construction.
The event will follow a 54-hole format, playing the first two rounds on Saturday, and the third and final round on Sunday. The Gophers will be looking to repeat their success at the Boilermaker Invitational from 2021, as the Maroon and Gold finished tied for third as a team, and then-senior Angus FlanaganĀ secured the individual victory.Ā

The Lineup:
The Gophers are sending six golfers to the Boilermaker Invitational. The list includes: seniors Lincoln Johnson and Harry Plowman-Ollington, junior Antoine Sale, sophomore Ben Warian, and freshman Eduardo Galdos. Competing as an individual in the event will be sophomore Alex Eickhoff.Ā
The Field:
The Gophers will be competing amongst a group of 14 teams, including:Ā Ball State, Butler, Eastern Michigan, (21)Illinois, Illinois State, Indiana, IUPUI, Loyola Chicago, Miami (Ohio), Minnesota, (32)Purdue, Rutgers, Troy, and Wisconsin.
The Course:
Ackerman-Allen Golf Course plays as long as 7,546 yards and is a Par 72. The course was renovated by Pete Dye in 2016.

The University of Minnesota men's golf team will be back in action April 16th and 17th, at the Hawkeye Invitational in Iowa City, Iowa.
