“U” Completes First Two Rounds at Sea Island

MINNEAPOLIS - The University of Minnesota Men's Golf team completed its first 36 holes at the Sea Island Shootout Monday in St. Simon's Island, Ga.
The Maroon and Gold sit in 12th place after the first two rounds with a team score of 29-over par (294-295-589).
No. 37 Ohio State leads the field with a team score of 282-277-559 (-1), followed by No. 25 Kansas State (+1) and No. 42 Notre Dame(+2).
Notable:
Playing as an individual, senior Connor Glynn tallied seven birdies over his two rounds. Glynn is currently in a tie for 19th with a score of 2-over par (73-69-142).
Senior Antoine Sale leads the Gophers in team play, collecting five birdies over 36 holes. He is in a tie for 43rd, with a score of 6-over par (74-72-146).
Junior Ben Warian notched seven birdies over his first two rounds and sits in a tie for 51st, with a score of eight-over par (74-74-148).
Senior Harrison Arnold recorded four birdies and is tied for 48th at 7-over par (75-72-147).
Sophomore Eduardo Galdos had two consecutive rounds of 74 to find himself in a tie for 51st at 8-over par (74-74-148).
Graduate Lincoln Johnson is tied for 60th (74-75-149) heading into the final 18 holes.
