Maroon and Gold Set To Play In Tiger Collegiate Monday

MINNEAPOLIS - After a week off from competition, the University of Minnesota Men's Golf team will travel to Columbia, Mo., to play in the Tiger Collegiate. 

A two-day, 54-hole event, the Tiger Collegiate will be hosted by the University of Missouri, and is set to take place Monday and Tuesday at The Club at Old Hawthorne.

Lineup -  The Gophers will be represented by graduates Jacob Pedersen and Lincoln Johnson, senior Antoine Sale, junior Ben Warian, and sophomores Bennett Swavely and Eduardo Galdos

The Field - The Gophers will face off against No. 5 Illinois, No. 21 Kansas State, Arkansas State, Iowa State, Lipscomb, Louisiana-Monroe, Marquette, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, Rutgers and Wyoming. 

The Course - The tournament will be played at The Club at Old Hawthorne. The course scores as a par-72 and is just over 7,200 yards. 

Last Time Out -  The Gophers finished in 15th with a team score of 18-over par (275-278-272–825) at the Valspar Collegiate two weeks ago. Warian was the Gophers' top finisher as he tallied five birdies in his final round and placed 30th with a score of 1-under par (67-71-74). Galdos tied his season best in (68) his final round, while also leading the team in pars over the two-day tournament.
