Gophers Head To Florida for Valspar Collegiate

MINNEAPOLIS - The University of Minnesota Men's Golf team will compete in the Valspar Collegiate in Palm City, Fla., Monday and Tuesday.
The Valspar Collegiate is a 54-hole, two-day event held at the Floridian Golf Club.

Lineup - The Gophers will be represented by graduate Lincoln Johnson, seniors Connor Glynn and Antoine Sale, junior Ben Warian and sophomore Eduardo Galdos.
The Field - The Maroon and Gold will face off against ranked teams such as No. 2 Arizona State, No. 3 Texas Tech, No. 8 Florida State, No. 9 Pepperdine, No. 11 Texas, No. 14 Texas A&M and No. 20 Georgia Southern. Duke, Houston, Lamar, Marquette, North Carolina, Northwestern, Ohio State and Wake Forest round out the field.
The Course - The tournament will be played at the Floridian Golf Club on the Floridian Course. The par-71 championship course measures slightly over 7,100 yards.
Last Time Out - The Gophers finished in 13th place overall with a team score of 36-over par (294-295-287-876) at the Johnnie-O at Sea Island two weeks ago. Playing as an individual, senior Connor Glynn tied his season-low (69) in each of the last two rounds as he recorded a season-best finish with a tie for ninth.
