Maroon and Gold Wrap Up First Spring Tournament at the Colleton River Collegiate

The University of Minnesota Men's Golf team finishes seventh at their first tournament of the spring season.
MINNEAPOLIS - The University of Minnesota men's golf team completed its final round at the Colleton River Collegiate Tuesday on the Nicklaus Course at Colleton River Club in S.C.Â
The team collected a score of 273-283-287-843 over the 54-hole tournament thanks to junior Ben Warian's impressive performance. The team finished in seventh place overall during the tournament.Â
Notable:Â
Warian capped off his final round with four birdies and finished with an even par score of 72. Warian finished tied for second overall with a 54-hole score of 10-under par. Second place marks a new career high in overall finish for Warian, who also tied his career low in round one with a seven under 65 (-7). Warian was also the only player on the team to record an eagle during the tournament.Â
Graduate Lincoln Johnson shot even-par on both the front and back nine in his final 18 holes. Johnson birdied two of the four par-fives and finished with a score of 5-under par, as he tied for 23rd overall.Â
Senior Antoine Sale tallied seven birdies on his way to a 3-under 69 in his final round. Sale finished at even-par for the tournament, tying for 49th overall.Â
Competing as an individual, freshman Mason Roloff finished at even-par on the back nine, completing his round with a 2-over 74. Roloff matched Sale and finished in a tie for 49th.Â
Sophomore Eduardo Galdos notched three birdies and shot a 5-over 77 to finish in 53rd place.Â
Senior Harrison Arnold started his back nine by birding the longest hole on the course. He finished with a 5-over 77 and in 61st overall.Â
