The first-year Gopher clocked a 13.78 (+0.8 m/s wind) to finish as the meet runner-up. Buchanan's record broke his own time of 13.84 that he set earlier this season. The men's 4x100m relay team matched the women's school-record performance with one of their own. Young's School Records Earn Her B1G Honors
University of Minnesota graduate student Amira Young was honored by the Big Ten Conference for her performance at the Jim Click Shootout last weekend, the conference office announced Wednesday.

Young dominated in her outdoor season debut in Tucson, breaking a pair of school records just weeks after completing her indoor career as an All-American in the 60m. Young's season started off with a bang in the 4x100m relay where they claimed the victory with a school record time of 43.88. The time breaks the school record that the same relay team put down last season at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Ore. Individually, Young was the victor in both the 100m and 200m with her 23.10 in the 200m breaking Young's own school record in the event that she set in 2021. Young, who won the 200m indoor Big Ten title, is ranked No. 14 in the NCAA this season in the 200m and No. 1 in the Big Ten. In the 100m, Young's 11.25 wind-legal time slots her in the No. 13 time in the country this season and No. 3 among Big Ten runners.
