Minnesota Ends Dexter Lake Invite

LOWELL, Ore. - The University of Minnesota rowing team ended its trip to the Pacific Northwest Saturday at the Dexter Lake Invitational hosted by Oregon State.
 
The Golden Gophers' first varsity eight boat turned in the best performances of the day, finishing fifth in the eight-team race with a time of 6:37.1 during the morning session. The same group turned in a similar effort in the afternoon as it raced to fifth again behind a 7:07.6 result at Dexter Lake.
 
Thanks to a major turnaround between sessions by the second varsity eight boat, the Maroon and Gold got another fifth-place finish as the group improved two spots.
