'U' finishes seventh for second-straight year
INDIANAPOLIS - In its final regatta of the 2022-23 season, the Minnesota rowing team finished in seventh place at the 2023 Big Ten Conference Rowing Championships held at the Indianapolis Rowing Center Sunday.
The top result for the Golden Gophers came in the final race of the day as the first varsity eight boat turned in a sixth-place finish with a time of 6:35.884.
A trio earned postseason honors for the Maroon and Gold as Cecilie Christensen and Isabella Bejaran were named to the All-Big Ten First and Second Teams, respectively. Annie Moen landed a spot on the Big Ten Sportsmanship Team.
Minnesota totaled 50 team points across the six races in which it competed, while Michigan claimed the team title after a victory during the last race to jump in front of second-place Ohio State.
