The Invite begins on Wednesday, Dec. 4 at 6 p.m., while the following three days will begin with swimming prelims at 10 a.m. and diving prelims at 1 p.m., with finals for both beginning at 6 p.m. All session and single session tickets are on sale now.
Live results can be found on gophersports.com and the Meet Mobile App (subscription required), and a live stream is available on YouTube. Complete information on the Invite, including daily schedule, can be found on the event's homepage.
On the men's side, this year's field will include two teams currently ranked in the CSCAA Top 25 poll, including No. 5 Cal, and No. 18 Minnesota. The Harvard men are receiving votes in the latest poll. On the women's side both Cal No. 9 and Minnesota No. 23 are also ranked in the Top 25.
The University of Nevada Las Vegas, Harvard University, the University of Denver, and Rutgers University (women) round out the field of competition.
Through December of the 2024-25 season, the Gopher men are sitting at a 4-1 record, with their lone loss coming to the No. 18 Wisconsin Badgers. The women's team sits at 6-1, with their lone loss also coming to the No. 23 Badgers.
Several Minnesota student-athletes have seen early success in the 2024-25 season, as numerous Gophers have earned Big Ten Weekly Honors and set program records through the first three months of the year.
In the diving well, sophomores Elna Widerstrom and YuTong Wang have notched two and three Big Ten Diver of the Week awards, respectively. Wang set a school record on the 1-meter dive with a score of 435.15 on Oct. 18.
First-year swimmers Jacob Johnson, Joe Polyak, and Livi Wanner have each earned Big Ten Freshman of the Week honors, with Johnson clinching the award three times this season. Johnson set two school records in his freshman season with the Gophers, both in the 200 fly. He notched a program-high time of 1:42.41 on Oct. 11, then broke his own record with a 1:41.70 time on Nov. 3.
