LAST TIME OUT
The Minnesota Golden Gophers saw Annie Nabwe make a big splash in the women's weight throw to end the 2024 indoor regular season at the Snowshoe Open at the University Fieldhouse in Minneapolis, Minn., on Friday. Nabwe's weight throw performance was filled with three personal bests with the redshirt freshman's 23.02m (75-6 1/4) coming on her fourth attempt of the competition. Nabwe entered the meet with a lifetime best of 21.94m (71-11 3/4) and eclipsed that on her first attempt (22.01m | 72-2 1/2) and her second attempt (73-1 1/4) before her lifetime best, and winning mark, on the fourth attempt.
Additionally, the 'U' had a stellar day in the field with Nyalaam Jok, Lexy Berger and Autumn Glover all picking up victories. Nyalaam Jok cleared 1.78m (5-10) in the high jump while Berger posted a season-best vault of 4.17m (13-8 1/4) to win the pole vault. Berger edged out true freshman teammate Sofia Condon who posted a lifetime best mark of 4.02m (13-2 1/4). Glover was victorious in the long jump with a leap of 5.44m (17-10 1/4).
NABWE SETS NCAA RECORD

With Nabwe's honor, the Golden Gophers became the only Big Ten team this season with three different weekly honorees (Shelby Frank, Brooke Jaworski and Annie Nabwe).
