Gophers Ready to Compete on Home Turf at ANNIKA Intercollegiate presented by 3M

MINNEAPOLIS – The University of Minnesota women's golf team is set to begin their second tournament of the 2024 fall season, making their seventh appearance at the ANNIKA Intercollegiate presented by 3M Sept. 9-11. The lone tournament on home turf will be hosted at The Royal Golf Club in Lake Elmo, Minn. The Gophers will be joined by 11 other universities for the tenth edition of the ANNIKA Intercollegiate.
The three-day 54-hole competition will begin on Monday, Sept 9 with 18-holes being completed each day through Wednesday, Sept 11. Tee times will begin at 8:30 a.m. CT each day of the event, with the awards ceremony taking place at approximately 3:15 p.m. on the final day.
Lineup:
The Gophers lineup will feature junior Isabella McCauley, freshman Reese McCauley, and sophomores Mariana Mesones and Sara Tomaszewski. Junior transfer Madison Le will make her debut in Maroon and Gold.
The Field:
Returning to Lake Elmo to tee-off against the Gophers are South Carolina, Duke, Wake Forest, Oregon, Arizona State, UCF, and UCLA. Making their first appearance in the event will be Purdue, Iowa State, Clemson, and California.
The Course:
The Royal Golf Club, designed by Annika Sörenstam and Arnold Palmer, will play as a 6,267-yard par 72. This is the sixth time The Royal Golf Club will host this tournament.
