Received Big Ten Distinguished Scholar Award - went 1-0 in singles and 2-0 in doubles play - won first match of the spring season over Eshan Varma of North Dakota 6-2, 6-7 (4-10), 1-0 (10-7) - was unable to finish first doubles match of season, but was up 5-3 with his partner Sprinkel - finished season with a pair of doubles victories, first with Alpeza against Miami 7-5, then with Spec against Mich. St. 6-4.
2016 FALL SEASON
Went 2-6 in singles play and 3-2 in doubles - picked up two victories at the ITA Central Region Championships - teamed up with Jesse Sprinkel at the Gopher Invitational fro three doubles victories.
2016 SPRING SEASON
Went 4-10 in singles and 10-9 in doubles play - earned Minnesota's Team Spirit Award for the second straight year - went undefeated in first dual match of the season, winning his single match 6-4, 6-4 - with teammate Spec, won at No. 3 doubles against Wisconsin, 6-2 - with help from Spec, defeated Rowan Isaaks/Miles McDowall of Green Bay 6-0 - overcame Drake pairing of Ben Lott/Calum McGeoch 7-6 (4) - earned a sweep at No. 2 doubles with Spec, defeating Illinois State 6-0 - won a close match at the No. 6 spot against Harrison McCormick of Army, 7-6 (3), 7-6 (4) - took home a 6-1 win with Spec at No. 2 doubles over Hawaii - earned one of two points against Nebraska, winning 6-0, 6-4 at the No. 6 spot - picked up the only win of the day against Illinois with Spec at No. 2 doubles, winning 6-4 - went undefeated against Michigan State, earning a 6-3, 7-5 win at No. 6 singles and a 6-2 win at No. 3 doubles with Levin - contributed to the doubles point win with a 6-3 victory at No. 3 doubles with Levin over Purdue - in the first round of the Big Ten Tournament, once again won at No. 3 doubles over Purdue with Krstanovic, earing a 6-4 win - lost his last match of the season in the Big Ten Tournament at No. 5 singles, losing 7-5, 7-6 (1) to Purdue.Â
2015 FALL SEASON
Went 2-7 in singles play and 3-3 in doubles play - Went 2-1 in doubles with partner Ruben Weber at the Wildcat Invite - Defeated John Nogalski in the first round of the ITA Central Region Championships (6-1, 6-4) - competed in singles and doubles competition at the Lakewood Ranch Invitational - Finished 1-1 in both singles and doubles competition at the BIG Indoor Championships.
2014-15 - SOPHOMORE SEASON
Concluded the year with a 7-7 singles record and went 0-1 in doubles - earned Minnesota's Team Spirit Award - named the first-ever Most Valauble Gopher (September) for going above and beyond the call of duty as an ambassador of the Maroon and Gold - Academic All-Big Ten - had a 3-0 spring singles record at the No. 5 and 6 positions and did not compete in dual match doubles play - posted straight-set wins over opponents from South Dakota State (Jan. 17), Green Bay (Jan. 30) and The Citadel (Feb. 28) - went 4-7 in fall singles play and dropped his lone doubles match alongside Tucker Saxon - opened sophomore campaign with a straight-set win over Monmouth's Bee Kumthonkittikul (Sept. 26) - picked up a first-round qualifying win at the ITA Central Region Championships (Oct. 9) and a first-round win against Nebraska's Bradford Zitsch at the Big Ten Indoor Championships (Nov. 1).
2013-14 - FRESHMAN SEASON
ITA Scholar-Athlete - finished 3-11 in singles with a 2-3 mark in doubles - in the spring, picked up two wins in singles and had his lone doubles match against Green Bay go unfinished - defeated Oklahoma State's Chris Haworth in straight sets to become the first-ever opposing player to win a match at Oklahoma State's Greenwood Tennis Center (Jan. 19) - went 1-4 in fall singles - picked up his first collegiate victory against Princeton's Augie Bloom at the Gopher Invitational (Oct. 31).
PRIOR TO MINNESOTA
Three-time tennis varsity letterwinner and three-time All-Ozark Conference honoree at Joplin High School under head coach Sean McWilliams - won 2013 Missouri state championship, finishing the year with a 36-1 record - was ranked second in the USTA's Missouri Valley region and reached as high as No. 47 in the national rankings in 2013 - claimed three conference and district titles - won the USTA National Open 18 singles championship in Denver in 2012 with a 6-3, 7-6 (3) win over top-seeded Jordan Daigle of Lafayette, La. - two-time Missouri Valley doubles champion.
PERSONAL
Undecided on a major - earned a 4.3 GPA in the first semester of his senior year and was a member of the Ozark Conference All-Academic Team - most memorable sports thrill was winning the National Open championship in 2012 - enjoys listening to music, weightlifting, and reading - son of Joy Dworkin and Thomas Lynn - born Sept. 16, 1994.
