Juan Pablo Ramirez, who played for the Minnesota men's tennis team from 2011-14, served as the team's student assistant coach in 2014-15.

As as student-athlete for the Gophers, Ramirez won 32 career singles matches and played his a 57-35 doubles record. In his senior season, he earned the Minnesota Team Spirit Award. He received theJerry Noyce/Nike Most Improved Player Award in his junior season after going16-16 insingles record and a 24-13 in doubles.

The journalism major from Bogota, Colombia was also an Academic All-Big Ten honoree.
