Members of the Minnesota men's tennis team are playing in both the Wildcat Invitational this weekend and the USTA/ITA Central Region Tennis Championships.
Senior Michael Sicora and freshmen Eric Frueh and Mathieu Froment are competing in the Northwestern-hosted Wildcat Invitational, which gets underway tomorrow.
Senior Julian Dehn and Phillip Arndt lead a contingent of six Gophers who are competing in Tulsa, Okla., at the USTA/ITA Central Region Tennis Championships. Also in the field are junior Rok Bonin, sophomore Juan Pablo Ramirez, sophomore Brendan Ruddock and freshman Leandro Toledo.
This is the second and third tournament that the Gophers are playing in this year, as they already competed in the Southern Intercollegiates last month. Minnesota will play in the Big Ten Singles Championships next weekend before hosting the Gopher Invitational in two weeks.
