Doubles Play Completed At Big Ten Indoors

The doubles portion of the 2011 Big Ten Men's Indoor Tennis Championships was held today at the University of Iowa.
Freshmen Eric Frueh, Leandro Toledo, Mathieu Froment, sophomore Juan Pablo Ramirez and senior Michael Sicora are in Iowa and everyone played doubles except Toledo.
Ramirez and Froment teamed together to win their first match against Michigan State 9-7 before falling in the second round 8-5 to a pairing from Wisconsin.
The team of Frueh and Sicora lost 9-7 to Wisconsin in the first round, but then went 2-1 in the back draw.
Singles play in the 64-player tournament begins Saturday and ends on Monday.
Toledo is seeded fifth and opens play against Austin Brooks of Michigan State. Frueh meets Ross Guignon of Illinois in the first round, while Froment drew No. 2 seed Josh Graves of Northwestern.
Ramirez will contest Penn State's Chris Young, while Sicora begins the tournament against Iowa's Joey White.
