Seven Gophers Named Academic All-Big Ten

A total of 148 University of Minnesota student-athletes have earned spring Academic All-Big Ten honors, including all seven eligible members of the Golden Gopher men's tennis team. Included on the full list are representatives from nine different spring teams and the women's hockey team, which the conference includes as an at-large sport.

The Big Ten recognized 1,447 total spring and at-large sport student-athletes.

To be eligible for Academic All-Big Ten selection, student-athletes must be letterwinners in at least their second academic year at their institution and maintain a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher.

Mathieu Froment, Eric Frueh, Jack Hamburg and Leandro Toledo were third-time selections, while Ruben Weber and Tucker Saxon each earned his second honor.
