Gophers Continue Winning Ways at Gopher Invite

Minneapolis, Minn. - The University Minnesota continued their winning ways Saturday in the Gopher Invite by winning 15 total matches at Baseline Tennis Center.
The Gophers finished with three doubles victories and 12 singles matches on the afternoon.
Doubles
Minnesota's duo of Jesse Sprinkel and Jeremy Lynn start off the day with a 6-0 victory over Dartmouth's Diego Pedraza and Paul Midgley.
Josip Krstanovic and George Lovitt also picked up a win in their first match of the day over Morgan Stone and Greg Wischer of Boise State (6-4). They fell in their second doubles match 6-4 to Penn's Nicholas Westergaard and Gabe Raporort 6-4.
Felix Corwin and Matic Spec faced off against teammates Marino Alpeza and Eli Ogilvy in the Gold draw's semifinals. Corwin and Spec came up with a 7-6(1) victory.
Stefan Milicevic and Justyn Levin fell in their only doubles match of the day to Carter Lin and Connor Johnston of Michigan (6-3).
Singles
Lynn fell in his first singles match of the day 6-3, 6-1 Pedraza while Sprinkel picked up the singles victory when Midgley had to retire the match.
Lovitt defeated Wischer 6-4, 6-2 and Krstanovic beat Stone 6-0, 6-1 to pick up the three-match sweep over the pair from Boise State. The pair picked up two more singles wins when Krstanovic defeated Westergaard (6-2, 7-5) and Lovitt beat Rapoport (6-4, 6-4).
Alpeza fell in his first set of his first match 6-1 but rally back to win the next two sets 6-4, 6-1.
Spec continued to stay hot in singles matches with a 7-5, 6-2 victory over Alex Knight of Michigan. Spec and Alpeza faced off against each other in the semifinals. Spec came out on top 6-4, 6-1.
Corwin defeated Michigan's Davis Crocker 6-3, 4-6, 6-2 and Ogilvy ended up falling 7-5, 6-1 in his match versus Johnathan Small of Notre Dame.
Ogilvy and Corwin also faced off against each other with Corwin winning a close match 7-6, 3-6, 1-0(10).
Milicevic won his first singles match of the day 6-2, 6-2 over Kyle Mautner of Penn. He then fell in his second match to Lin 6-2, 6-1.
Levin battled back against Matt Nardella of Penn to win his first singles match 3-6, 7-5, 1-0(6). Levin ended up falling in a close 6-4, 2-6, 1-0(6) match against Johnston.
