Spec and Weber Pick Up Wins

Ruben Weber and Matic Spec earned singles wins Sunday, but the team dropped the decision to No. 45 Washington, 5-2. Minnesota moves to 5-9 on the season.
Weber earned his 14th singles win, a team-best. Spec established his tenth win of the season.
Washington started the day on top, earning the doubles point after taking matches at the No. 1 and 2 spot. Josip Krstanovic and Justyn Levin had their match go unfinished at the No. 3 spot.
Spec earned the first win of the day for the Gophers at the No. 1 spot, going 6-0 in the third set against Jake Douglas. He's now 6-6 at the No. 1 spot.
Felix Corwin and Marino Alpeza both had matches go down to the last set, but each fell 7-5 in the final set. Corwin is now 1-3 at the No. 5 spot, and Alpeza is 3-2 at the No. 6 spot.
Krstanovic dropped a three-set match at the No. 4 spot, going 2-5 there on the season.
Levin was the only Gopher to not play a third set, falling 6-3, 6-2. He's now 2-3 at the No. 3 spot.
Weber took home the second win for Minnesota in the last match of the day, winning 4-6, 6-1, 6-3 at the No. 2 spot over Enzo Sommer. Weber is 6-4 at the No. 2 spot on the season.
The Gophers will travel to Hawaii on March 18 and play at 3 p.m.
