Gophers Drop Regular Season Finale

The University of Minnesota Gophers fell to No. 64 Indiana 4-0 on Sunday ending the regular season 9-16 overall and 3-8 in conference play.
The Hoosiers quickly took the lead, earning the doubles point by winning matches at the No. 2 and 3 spots. The No. 25 ranked doubles pair of Felix Corwin and Matic Spec saw their match go unfinished, down 3-2.
In singles play, only three matches were played all the way through.
Spec dropped the first match in a closely fought battle, losing 6-4, 7-5 at the No. 1 spot against No. 62 ranked Sam Monette.
Justyn Levin lost the second match 6-4, 6-3 at the No. 5 spot.
Ruben Weber lost another close match at the No. 2 spot for the last match of the day, also losing 6-4, 7-5.
Corwin, Marino Alpeza and Jeremy Lynn all saw their matches go unfinished, with Lynn's still in the first set. Indiana had men's and women's matches going at the same time so Lynn's match got off to a late start because of court space.
The Gophers will host the Big Ten Tournament next weekend starting on Thursday and going through Sunday. Seeding's will be announced on Monday.
