East Lansing, Mich.- The No. 32-ranked University of Minnesota men's tennis team picked up their fourth Big Ten win this afternoon with a 6-1 victory over Michigan State.

Doubles
The Gophers mixed things up on the doubles side today, as Matic Spec played with senior Jeremy Lynn in the No. 3 spot. They picked up a victory as they defeated Brett Forman and Billy Shisler of Michigan State by a score of 6-4.

Felix Corwin was paired with Eli Ogilvy in the top doubles spot, and they fell 6-4 to Colin Harvey and Michael Dube. The doubles point was won by Minnesota when Justyn Levin and Josip Krstanovic secured a 6-4 victory over Doug Francken and Jasper Koenen.

Singles
The only ranked singles player on the court today was Minnesota's No. 59 Spec. He was the first to finish, falling 6-2, 6-2 in the top spot to MSU's Forman. This would be the only point the Spartans earn during the match.

Corwin was the first singles player to earn a point for the Gophers, as he defeated Koenen 6-4, 6-3. All four remaining matches went to three sets, and the Maroon & Gold showed their resilience once again. Marino Alpeza fell behind early, losing the first set 3-6. He battled back and won the final two sets 6-3, 6-2 against Shisler.

Ogilvy was next up, as he also had to battle back after falling in the first set. He won his match 3-6, 6-2, 6-2 against Ivan Rakic for his 13th dual-match singles victory of the season. Krstanovic won Minnesota's fifth point of the match when he defeated Alexander Kim 3-6, 6-2, 7-6(3).

The final match of the day to finish featured Stefan Milicevic and Dube. Milicevic came out victorious, winning 7-6(2), 1-6, 7-5 for his 13th singles win of the spring season.

Up Next
Minnesota improved to 4-3 in conference play, and 15-6 overall. Next weekend, the Gophers travel to Ohio State on Friday night, and then battle Penn State on Sunday afternoon.
