TEMPE, Ariz. - 2017 All-Academic Teams & Scholar Athletes - Division I Men (ITA)

The Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced Tuesday its 2017 All-Academic Teams and Scholar-Athletes, honoring 3,908 individual student athletes and 720 different teams across five divisions of collegiate tennis. Four athletes from the University of Minnesota earned Scholar Athlete honors including 2017 graduating senior Jeremy Lynn, junior Matic Spec, sophomore Josip Krstanovic, and freshman Stefan Milicevic while the Gophers program was named an All-Academic Team.

Per the ITA, the All-Academic Team award is open to any ITA program that has a cumulative team grade point average of 3.20 or above on a 4.00 scale when factoring in all varsity letter winners during the current academic year (2016-17). The Scholar Athlete award is bestowed to any player who meets a set of three criteria: earning a varsity letter, holding a GPA of 3.50 for the current year, and being enrolled at his present institution for at least two semesters.
