Gophers Travel to Florida for FGCU Invitational

The Gopher men's tennis team heads to Bonita Springs, Fla. this weekend to take part in the FGCU Invitational. The tournament kicks off Friday, Nov. 1 at 3:00 p.m. CST and runs until Sunday, Nov. 3.
This marks the second year of the FGCU Fall Collegiate Tournament, and the first year that the Maroon & Gold have attended the tournament. Besides the University of Minnesota, other schools in attendance include: Florida Gulf Coast University, Memphis University, Purdue University, the University of Louisville, and the University of Connecticut.
The tournament's format is currently set up to be played as a hidden dual each day. The first day of play on Friday, the Gophers will take on Florida Gulf Coast at 3:00 CST. The following day at 11:30 CST, the Gophers will take on Memphis. To round out the tournament weekend for the team, the Maroon & Gold will play the University of Louisville starting at 8:00 a.m. CST.
This weekend's lineup and doubles pairings are still to be decided.
