MINNEAPOLIS – The Gopher men's hockey program surrendered a season-high eight goals to one of the nation's top offenses, falling 8-2 to No. 8 Penn State on Friday night at 3M Arena at Mariucci.
After a scoreless first period, the Nittany Lions scored four goals in the second and another four goals in the third while Minnesota found goals from Jaxon Nelson (assisted by Jackson LaCombe) and Sampo Ranta (unassisted).
