Gophers Open Spring Season under California Sun

SAN DIEGO, Calif. – The Gopher Rowing team returns to competition this weekend for a scrimmage against San Diego State.
Minnesota spent its holiday break training in San Diego, but the Gophers have been off the water for three weeks as they challenge a California team on its home course.
VENUE
The home of the annual San Diego Crew Classic, Mission Bay is distance-marked on the shoreline for accurate speed work.
FORMAT
The race will be a scrimmage and official times will not be posted, but Minnesota will be able to test its mettle against a California team early in the spring season.
