Milicevic Clinches Another Gopher Victory

Miami, Fla. - The University of Minnesota picked up their eleventh victory of the season with a 4-3 comeback win over the University of Miami Friday.
Doubles
The first doubles match of the day ended with Justyn Levin and Eli Ogilvy falling 6-4 to Piotr Lomacki and Nile Clark. Soon after Marino Alpeza and Jeremy Lynn defeated Christian Langmo and Dane Dunlap 7-5.
The doubles point was down to No. 39 Matic Spec and Felix Corwin. They fell in a close match to Max Andrews and Jesse Flores 6-4 to put Miami up 1-0.
Singles
Minnesota tied things at 1-1 after Corwin defeated Langmo 6-3, 6-2 from the No. 2 singles spot then Josip Krstanovic beat Kevin Bondar 6-2, 6-2 in the No. 5 spot to put the Maroon and Gold up 2-1.
Levin fell in his match versus Dunlap 6-3, 4-6, 7-5 then No. 68 Spec fell to No. 67 Lomacki 3-6, 6-4, 7-6 to put Miami up 3-2.
With the clinching point within Miami's grasp, Eli Ogilvy defeated Jesse Flores (7-5, 5-7, 7-6) to tie the match up 3-3. Once again it was down to Stefan Milicevic. Milicevic fell in his first set 4-6 but bounced back winning the second set 6-4 and clinching the win for Minnesota with a 7-5 victory in the final set.
Minnesota will head to Nebraska March 24 to continue Big Ten play before returning to Baseline Tennis Center for a three conference matches.
