Gophers Sweep DePaul 7-0 to Open Spring Season

MINNEAPOLIS - The University of Minnesota Men's Tennis team toppled DePaul 7-0 in their opening dual at Baseline Tennis Center.
Senior Justyn Levin took wins in both singles and doubles, and is now 10-0 at home during the 2018-2019 season.
DOUBLES
Doubles was a breeze for Minnesota, with Justyn Levin and Josip Krstanovic taking No. 1 doubles 6-0 over Spanjaard and Vito Tonejc. Then, Marino Alpeza and Stefan Milicevic took No. 3 doubles 6-0 as well, over O'Meara and Tuff. Jackson Allen and Sebastian Vile were leading 3-2 at the clinch in No. 2 doubles.
SINGLES
Jackson Allen made quick work in the No. 3 spot for Minnesota, winning 6-1, 6-1 over Cesati, while freshman Sebastian Vile won 7-5, 6-4 in the 6 spot, giving him a win in his spring season debut.
Krstanovic gave the Gophers the clinching win, taking the No. 1 spot 6-4, 2-6, 6-1, while Levin took the No. 5 spot over Fran Tonejc, a 5-7, 6-4, 6-3 come from behind win.
Milicevic then took No. 2 singles 6-7, 6-3, 10-2, while Alpeza rounded out the singles with a 6-2, 6-7, 6-4 win in the No. 4 spot.
UP NEXT
Minnesota comes right back to Baseline at 5 pm to take on the Green Bay Phoenix.
